The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID)
was founded in 1953 and is the oldest academy in the
world dedicated to Implant Dentistry. It is composed of
approximately 3000 members from the US and around the world,
and is headquartered in the American Dental Association
building
in Chicago.
Dr. DuCoin is an Honored Fellow and Fellow of the Academy.
He served as President of the Academy in 2003 and 2004, and
currently serves on the Past-Presidents Counsel and as an
Associate Editor of the Journal of Implant Dentistry. Prior to
2003, Dr. DuCoin served as an Officer or as a National
Trustee for
ten years. He also served as President of the
Southern District
of the Academy and as President of the AAID
Research Foundation.
Dr. DuCoin first became Credentialed by the Academy in 1987.
